I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person. - Audrey Hepburn
Come on in and kick your feet up and stay awhile getting to know me and my southern sentiments and all about my silly spirits.
Last week Mama and I were coming home from the Library or one of the many doctors office visits she had and we were discussing the upcoming Presidential election when Mama looks at me, very seriously I might add and says, "Do you believe that Obama (pronounced like Alabama) is a MUSLIN?". I thought I would wreck the Buick. I said, "I'm not sure - - maybe cotton instead of silk", "I was laughing while I said this and then I said, "Mama, it's Muslim not Muslin - Muslin is a specific type of fabric". Then she mouths the word Muslim and said, "is that right".?. I said, "yes, that's right". I had forgotten about thisuntil I saw Saturday Night Live this weekend where they had a skit on the CrazyMcCain campaign lady(that weirdly enough acts and somewhat looks like my Aunt Frances LOL). It was like the SNL writers had been in the car with us and had borrowed the material from our hysterical conversation {between Dory and Me}. I laughed till I cried, then I called Mama into the room and had her to watch the skit online, she laughed right along with me - - of course, I'm rolling with laughter and can't get my breath...I kept on replaying the same frame where crazy lady poses the same question as Dory - priceless.
Well, let's see... I'm 42 and I have been a stay-at-home-mom(SAHM)for the past 14 years. That is until I decided to go back to school to become a registered nurse. If only I could earn a salary...*sigh*
I have a wonderfully "almost perfect" hubby Greg who I met way back in the 7th grade. He and I continued to stay great friends and yes, we eventually fell in love while during our college years. (OH WHAT BLISS!)
I studied Interior Design in College and have continued to be drawn in by new fabrics and applications along with colors and texture. I ended my career days as a Make-Up Artist (which I always said, "I would be one day" - what a blast.
We have been blessed with a gorgeous son Mason (16 years old) who is our delight.
I can't leave out our galump of a dog Rascal along with Prissy and Stormy, our cats, whom we love, love, love.
I thoroughly enjoy romantic period novels and movies. (It really borderlines on obsession)
